Leading the integration of ICT in Education
Our Idea:
Local Schools Local Needs connects educators with local community members who want to help students. In this time of economic austerity, teachers struggle to access classroom resources in the face of budget cuts, and individuals who want to help schools feel the pinch in their wallets. Whereas other websites help educators raise funds to purchase new materials, our online service allows local people with spare materials and spare time to find local educators who need materials or volunteers. We are a group of current and former Teach For America teachers and local tutors who understand the need for this online service.
